The Jesup South short span steel bridge in Buchanan County, Iowa is getting closer to completion due to the excellent work of the Buchanan County crew and the project sponsors.

As a part of his work with eSPAN140 and the Bridge Technology Center, Dr. Karl Barth, West Virginia University, set in place measurement tools just before the deck pour on October 24. The purpose is to monitor major axis bending and lateral flange bending during the placement of the concrete deck. The results of this work will be made available in the coming months.
